A drum major stands in front of tuba players

Lima’s square turned scarlet and gray when fans of The Ohio State University Marching Band marched into town for a special concert to support scholarships at Ohio State Lima. More than 1,000 Buckeyes, and one tiny drum major, turned out to hear The Best Damn Band In The Land perform in the Crouse Performance Hall at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center.

"We have so many opportunities to celebrate what we love about being Buckeyes, but sharing this legendary icon with a thousand of our favorite friends is just amazing," said Dr. Meggie Young, dean and director. "We are so excited to bring The Best Damn Band in the Land to our hometown! More than just the incredible music and the amazing experience, we're proud to support Lima campus students as they gain access to a world-class education close to home."

From the music of this season’s halftime shows to beloved Ohio State favorites like “Hang On Sloopy” to a preview of the Oregon halftime show, the performance offered Buckeye fans, families, students, alumni and music lovers of all ages the opportunity to experience one of Ohio State’s most celebrated traditions right here in our community.

There is still time to make an impact by supporting scholarships for Ohio State Lima Buckeyes. Every gift helps provide students with access to a world-class Ohio State education close to home.
