The Ohio State University at Lima invites local businesses and community groups to participate in the 10th annual STEAM on the Quad, scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. on the campus.
STEAM on the Quad is a family-friendly event where kids in grades K-8 can do hands-on activities that will improve their knowledge and interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and humanities, and Math fields.
STEAM on the Quad is a collaboration between Ohio State Lima and the 4-H programs of Putnam, Hardin, Allen, Hancock, Lucas, Auglaize and Logan counties.
Over the past ten years, the event has reached more than 2,100 people from Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, and surrounding counties. Attendance has grown consistently, with last year’s event drawing a record 500 guests.
To mark the 10-year milestone, this year's event will feature several new groups, including the Columbus Zoo, the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, and Science Central. Imagination Station will conclude the afternoon with a live “Extreme Science” group demonstration at 3 p.m.
Organizers emphasize that local community partners remain the most important part of the event's ongoing success.
“While these names are exciting, the folks we are looking forward to seeing at STEAM on the Quad this year are our local community partners,” said co-organizer Dr. Robin Bagley. “The local organizations, university groups and the 4-H programs that turn out each year to share enriching activities are the backbone that has made this event such a success, and we would love to have you join us again this year.”
Local groups and businesses interested in hosting a table or activity can register online.
