The Ohio State University at Lima will host “Encores, and more encores” with pianist Steven Glaser at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Encores, and more encores is a program of popular audience favorites by Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy and more.
Glaser is a professor of piano in the School of Music at Ohio State, where he has taught since 1994, and is also a faculty member of the Melton Center for Jewish Studies. As a well-known chamber musician, he has collaborated with many leading artists and ensembles. Glaser has concertized widely in the United States, including acclaimed debut recitals in Chicago’s Orchestra Hall, on the prestigious Allied Arts Series in Merkin Concert Hall in New York City, and abroad in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Israel, New Zealand and East Asia.
