Five future Buckeyes receive full- and half-tuition scholarships

Five soon-to-be Buckeyes will receive a full- or half-tuition scholarship at a dinner and ceremony Thur., April 16, 2015, in the Student Services Center on the campus of The Ohio State University at Lima. The awards to incoming freshman were made possible by a generous gift by Arthur and Marian Rudd.

The full-tuition winner is Kayla Brown, Clyde High School. Half-tuition winners are: Gabriella Allen, Shawnee High School; Alexis Butterworth, Findlay High School; Dalton Faulder, Jackson Center High School; and Jacob Smith, Bethel High School.

The Arthur and Marian Rudd Scholarship Fund provides full- and half-tuition scholarships each year to students for whom such an award will make a significant financial difference. The scholarships are renewable for four years. At current tuition levels, the full scholarship will be worth about $7,140 per year and $28,560 over the life of the scholarship. The incoming class for Autumn 2015 is the eleventh group to be eligible for the awards.
