Author Ruth McNally Barshaw will be talking to students at the Ohio State Lima campus about how to make a life and living at writing at 2:30 p.m., Fri., April 24, 2015, in Galvin 330.

Barshaw is in Lima as part of the celebration of ArtSpace/Lima's 60th anniversary. She will visit campus on Friday and then offer a children’s program at ArtSpace/Lima from 2-3 p.m., Sat., April 25, 2015.

“ArtSpace Lima has been providing art education and outreach to the community for 6o years,” said Bill Sullivan, operations manager at ArtSpace/Lima. “In celebration of its anniversary, ArtSpace is providing exciting opportunities throughout the year to further promote the Arts.”

At ArtSpace/Lima, Barshaw will conduct a hands-on, interactive, story-creation workshop with kids ages 6 and older. Barshaw and the students will brainstorm a story together and then compose and illustrate it on the spot. The workshop is free.
