Find housing

The community surrounding the Ohio State Lima campus offers many great options for off-campus housing, with apartments right next to or near campus as well as dormitory-style living. Learn about housing options at go.osu.edu/lima-housing.


Register for orientation

Orientation information is sent on a rolling basis in the order acceptance fees are received.

Orientation is a required program for all incoming students.

During orientation, you will:

  • Attend a group academic planning and advising session
  • Schedule classes
  • Learn about the diversity of Ohio State resources

Complete necessary placement testing in English, foreign languages or math prior to orientation.

Receive your financial aid offer

New students admitted for autumn semester, will received their financial aid packages via email by late February. For others, notifications are rolling.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR MALE STUDENTS: Federal law requires males ages 18 through 25 to be registered with the Selective Service System, unless they are on active duty with the armed forces of the United States or legally excluded. Ohio residents who are not registered are required by Ohio law to pay the nonresident tuition surcharge. Register with Selective Service within 30 days of your 18th birthday at sss.gov or any U.S. post office.
