The Ohio State University at Lima holds to the tradition of open enrollment. This means that any Ohio resident who has graduated from high school (or earned a GED) and not attended any other post-secondary school will be admitted.
All other student populations* will be academically reviewed individually for admissions to Ohio State Lima.

Students who are graduating high school or starting college for the first time.

Students can apply to Ohio State Lima after the posted deadlines by completing the Late Registration process.
The Academy program is the Ohio State implementation of the state of Ohio's “College Credit Plus” program. It is a partnership between Ohio State, the high school and the student and his or her family. The Academy program allows high school students to earn college credit. The student will have an official college transcript and college credit that can be put toward a degree program.
Admission to the Academy program at Ohio State Lima will be based on students meeting the college readiness standards as defined by the state of Ohio. These standards are based on ACT/SAT/Accuplacer scores.

Ohio State Lima has expanded enrollment options and is pleased to offer admission to specific bordering counties within the states of Indiana and Michigan.
Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Jay, Steuben and Wells counties are included within our admissions territory
Indiana students are eligible for in-state tuition rates based on an agreement with the state of Indiana and are only valid at the Lima campus of The Ohio State University.
Hillsdale, Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne counties are included within our admissions territory.
Out-of-state tuition rates apply for Michigan students.

Program 60 is a unique learning opportunity for Ohio citizens to register and attend undergraduate and graduate level courses, tuition-free, at The Ohio State University. Credit cannot be given nor will courses be applied toward a degree. Acceptance into a course is based on permission of the instructor and space availability.
