Research talk focuses on butterflies and moths of the campus prairie

April 25, 2023

Research talk with Robin Bagley

Dr. Robin K. Bagley, assistant professor of biology, will talk about the insects that she and her students are seeing as the prairie develops and what that tells us at a research talk at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the Reed Hall Atrium.

Bagley’s student, graduating senior Marie Walton, brought home top honors in her category from the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum for her research on the butterflies and moths making a home in the prairie. Dr. Bagley earned the Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award for her work with Walton and other students on campus.

The research talk will be followed by a gallery opening from 4-6 p.m. in the Farmer Family Gallery for Everything is Collective’s “No Action Alternative.” Light appetizers will be served at the gallery opening.

Both events are free and open to the public.
