STEM Steps 2018 welcomes area high school girls to campus

Area high school sophomore and junior girls will be at Ohio State Lima for the fourth annual Ohio State Lima STEM Steps program from 9:00 a.m.-1:45 p.m., Mon. and Tues., March 12-13, 2018. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.

STEM Steps is an enriching and exciting day filled with hands-on activities in various STEM fields to encourage and stimulate an interest in science. Students will also learn the role of women in STEM fields and see how they can impact the world with STEM education.

The keynote speaker for both days is Dr. Manu B. Aggarwal, a phlebologist with the Vein Care Center. STEM Steps is made possible by the generous support of INEOS.

Students will be attending from Columbus Grove, Lima Central Catholic, Miller City, Temple Christian, Shawnee, Wapakoneta and Perry on Monday; and from Pandora Gilboa, Upper Scioto Valley, St. Marys Memorial and Lima Senior on Tuesday.

Bio of Dr. Manu B. Aggarwal

Dr. Manu B. Aggarwal is a phlebologist who is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with extensive qualifications and experience in both general and venous medicine. She is also certified by the Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, and in aesthetic lasers with a specialty in laser treatments for vascular lesions.
Dr. Aggarwal earned her Doctor of Medicine at West Virginia University and her Masters in Health Services Administration at George Washington University. She is the phlebologist for the Lima and Celina offices of the Vein Care Center.
