Robin Bagley receives the 2025 Ohio State Lima award for sustained mentorship

The Ohio State Lima Faculty Award for Sustained Student Mentorship is given each year for sustained excellence over several years in undergraduate scholarly mentorship.

The 2025 winner of the Faculty Award for Sustained Student Mentorship is Dr. Robin Bagley, assistant professor in Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology.

Dr. Robin Bagley has mentored 23 undergraduate research projects in the past five years, which has helped her create two research foci: sawfly parasitoid description and biodiversity monitoring. While doing so, three students have successfully completed Research Theses, with at least two more currently in progress.

Two of her students have had their excellence recognized by being selected to participate in the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program, and two have also received scholarships in recognition of their accomplishments. Many have presented their work in the form of posters, including one at a national conference, and have contributed to projects that are or will soon be incorporated into published articles. Most notably, one of her students placed first in the animal sciences division at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum in 2023.
