2020 Choose Lima First Scholarship Freshman Award - $1,200*
- Current High School Senior
- Applying for Autumn 2020 and selecting the Lima campus as their FIRST CHOICE Ohio State campus.
- Minimum high school GPA: 2.70
- Deadline to apply: Dec 15
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 - 18 credit hours per-semester)
- Acceptance fee must be paid by the May 1 deadline
- Must earn a 2.0 Autumn 2020 GPA to be renewed for Spring 2021
*$600 for Autumn 2020 and renewable for an additional $600 for Spring 2021. If the student is eligible for the Buckeye Affordability Grant for Spring 2021, the student is not eligible for the Spring 2021 term renewal of the Choose Lima First Scholarship.
A scholarship application is NOT required for the Choose Lima First Scholarship Freshman Award. Scholarship is awarded upon enrollment.
Ohio State Lima awards over $450k in special scholarships each year from more than 40 scholarship funds. These special scholarships are designated for Lima campus, new and current, students and are awarded through the Ohio State Lima Office of Student Financial Aid. To be eligible for consideration of one of these special scholarships, all students must complete the Ohio State Application for Special Scholarships. Please note, some special scholarships require completion of the FAFSA.

Ohio State Lima Secondary Scholarship Application
The deadline for the Ohio State Application for Special Scholarships is February 1, however, this Secondary Scholarship Application assists in awarding any additional funds throughout the summer, autumn and spring terms. This application requires some personal information and must be completed in its entirety to be considered for scholarship awards.

Arthur and Marian Rudd Scholars
Five new freshmen students are named Rudd Scholars each academic year; one will receive a full-tuition scholarship, and four will receive half-tuition scholarships renewable for a maximum of 8 semesters while attending Ohio State Lima. Students must be enrolled full-time and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to Allen and Auglaize County students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other Ohio State Lima scholarships. Rudd Scholars Application -- (Deadline February 15, 2020) In-State Freshmen Only.
The Griffith Family Scholarship
(Freshmen only) Provides scholarships to deserving freshmen students from Hardin County who are attending Ohio State Lima. The applicants must have a background in agriculture but do not have to pursue a degree in agriculture. Students from Ada(Ohio) High School with or without an agricultural background will also be considered. Griffith Family Application (Deadline March 15, 2020) Freshmen only.
The Osborn Family Scholarship
Freshmen only) Scholarships for students at The Ohio State University at Lima with special consideration for first generation scholars and students from Putnam or Henry County. Award by the Osborn Family. Osborn Family Scholarship (Deadline March 15, 2020) Freshmen only.
J.J. Walter Scholarship in History
Established by the Schuler-Walter Foundation, this scholarship provides one history major at The Ohio State University at Lima with a $2,250 scholarship. Students must be approved and declared history majors. J.J. Walter Scholarship in History (May 1, 2020).
