Multicultural Club

The Multicultural Club helps promote a stronger presence of diversity on campus and to cultivate an understanding of differences and commonalities among students, faculty and staff through cultural, educational and social activities.

Who should join?

Students who are committed to the mission of diversity should become a part of the Multicultural Club. For us, diversity signifies a wider range of social groups and identities other than race and ethnicity alone. Hence, social group identities such as gender, age, color, national origin, social class, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, rural v. urban, race/ethnicity as well as the underrepresented are included within our mission and framework of diversity.

Thus, it is within this paradigm that the Multicultural Club plans to move beyond the recognition of social group differences and transform the Lima Campus in such a way to enable the invitation and participation (students, faculty and staff) of all people within a diverse society.
