The Diversity Committee annually recognizes diversity efforts at The Ohio State University at Lima. Faculty and staff can nominate their colleagues or self-nominate to be selected as a recipient. Candidates cannot be recognized more than once every five years.
Award
Recipients are honored at the Academic Celebration and receive a plaque and a $500 cash award.
Eligibility
The Inclusive Excellence Award celebrates and rewards members of Ohio State Lima community who are shaping the university with cutting-edge curriculum, mentorship, new programs or policy impact that are making diversity and inclusiveness a part of its best practices by changing daily operations, program components or cultural awareness.
Award nominees can be faculty or staff who have implemented policies, procedures, and/or programs to enhance diversity on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran or military service status, gender identity or expression, economic status, marital status, or social background.

Submit an electronic copy of your nomination material by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline (Friday, March 14, 2025).

- Nomination Form: Complete the following nominating form. Self-nominations are encouraged.
- Nominating Statement:
- Provide a description of accomplishments, efforts, leadership, and service in support of inclusive excellence.
- Consistent demonstration of one or more of the university’s Shared Values: Excellence, Collaborating as One University, Acting with Integrity and Personal Accountability, Openness and Trust, Diversity in People, and Ideas, Change and Innovation, Accessibility, Empathy and Compassion, and Leadership.
- Optional Supporting Materials: Newspaper articles, publications, class outlines/sample presentations, interviews, Club/Student Organizations, community recognition, other metrics of impact, etc. (Bonus materials are not required).
