Chuck and Becky Ansley met at Ohio State Lima when she was taking a chemistry course and he was a lab teaching assistant. Both were first-generation college students who were able to build their dreams of an education because of Ohio State Lima. Both have gone on to very successful careers in health care administration and information technology, respectively. Chuck retired as the chief financial officer for Medflight of Ohio and Becky as a senior IT project manager at Ventech Solutions. Even more notably, they have supported their communities and the university with lifetimes of service and the strong belief that education can change lives.

Collin P. Palmer started at Ohio State Lima as a first-generation college student. Palmer’s commitment to access to higher education for all is at the heart of his professional life, which represents the core tenets of Ohio State’s land grant mission. He advocates for students at both the state and national level and is a past president of the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling. He has worked throughout his career to build a seat at the table of higher education for those who have not always had the opportunity.
