About this event

Ever wondered how to navigate a conversation with employers at a campus career event? If so, this session is perfect for you! Hop into Handshake to register for this virtual session where you'll receive tips on chatting with employers at career events like job fairs. You'll feel more than ready to talk with organizations at the Coffee and Careers: Mini Intern Fair (September 18 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), or the other career related events taking place during Career Week.

About this event

New this year to Career Week is an inviting and interactive event where students can enjoy coffee while engaging in enlightening conversations with career development staff and employers! 

This event is perfect for students who would like to explore career opportunities and learn more about internships. Each organization will provide information to students on a variety of career-related topics such as resume building, internships, interview readiness, networking basics, job search tips, and more. 

This casual gathering is designed to offer valuable career advice and enriching networking and internship opportunities. Participants will have the chance to chat with career services staff and employers, ask questions, and even have their application materials reviewed, all while sipping on freshly brewed coffee provided for their enjoyment. It's the perfect blend of mentorship and caffeinated inspiration.

No special attire is required, and all students are welcome to stop by to learn more about internships. As additional incentives for student participation, we will conduct raffles and give away door prizes throughout the event. 

The Lima Campus Coffee and Careers: Mini Intern Fair is coordinated by the Ohio State Lima Office of Career Development and the Rhodes State College Offices of Career Development and Internships & Experiential Learning. Would you like to try out a research project? Are you interested in simulating processes in nature, like chaotic pendulum motion or the spread of epidemics? Would you like to learn how to write computer code? Then the new Undergrad Research drop-in Sessions, or URS, may be for you! You will have the opportunity to work on a shorter project during these sessions (no obligations, no course credit) and experience first-hand what research is.
