Lima City Schools Farm Visit

About this event

Students from Lima City Schools will be visiting the Ohio State Lima regenerative farm to learn about the draining water recycling system that features a water retention pond on the Ohio State Lima property. The retention pond collects runoff from the farm fields surrounding campus and stores water that can be used later in the growing season for irrigating crops. Students will also be participating in three hands-on activities that include identifying bugs, macroinvertebrate sampling, and a rainfall simulator activity.

Join us in Galvin Hall for our Application Fee Waiver event from 2-6 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, in the Cloyd Student Commons on the lower level.

This event is drop-in style, so we recommend that students arrive no later than 5 p.m. This will ensure that you have ample time to fill out your application and learn about next steps. Students will receive an application fee waiver to apply for the Autumn 2025 semester and be supported through the application process by enrollment services staff.

And don’t miss this year’s Lima Campus Coffee and Careers: Mini Intern Fair, happening on Wednesday, September 18, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Science Building lobby), the Fall Career and Internship Fair, happening in-person on Wednesday, September 18, from 1 – 5 p.m. (Ohio Union on Columbus campus), and virtually on Thursday, September 19, from 2 – 6 p.m. (via Handshake).
