Be a part of THE for FREE today!

Join us in Galvin Hall for our Application Fee Waiver event from 2-6 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, in the Cloyd Student Commons on the lower level.

This event is drop-in style, so we recommend that students arrive no later than 5 p.m. This will ensure that you have ample time to fill out your application and learn about next steps. Students will receive an application fee waiver to apply for the Autumn 2025 semester and be supported through the application process by enrollment services staff.

Leave the event with an application submitted and some exciting Ohio State giveaways!

Ohio State alumni are invited to a reception celebrating the accomplishments of our Hall of Fame and Early Achievement alumni award inductees for 2024. The Ohio State Lima Alumni Hall of Fame inductee is Barbara Hochstetler, BS in Education, 1973. The Early Achievement Alumni Award winner is Isaac Altenburger, BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice, 2017.

The annual Career Week is taking place September 15 – 20, 2024. Students across all majors, campuses and degree levels are welcome to join for a week of career development and networking. 

And don’t miss this year’s Lima Campus Coffee and Careers: Mini Intern Fair, happening on Wednesday, September 18, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Science Building lobby), the Fall Career and Internship Fair, happening in-person on Wednesday, September 18, from 1 – 5 p.m. (Ohio Union on Columbus campus), and virtually on Thursday, September 19, from 2 – 6 p.m. (via Handshake). 

Update your resume, prepare to meet some of the nation’s top employers, and show that Buckeyes are always best for the job!

About this event

New this year to Career Week is an inviting and interactive event where students can enjoy coffee while engaging in enlightening conversations with career development staff and employers! 

This event is perfect for students who would like to explore career opportunities and learn more about internships. Each organization will provide information to students on a variety of career-related topics such as resume building, internships, interview readiness, networking basics, job search tips, and more. 

This casual gathering is designed to offer valuable career advice and enriching networking and internship opportunities. Participants will have the chance to chat with career services staff and employers, ask questions, and even have their application materials reviewed, all while sipping on freshly brewed coffee provided for their enjoyment. It's the perfect blend of mentorship and caffeinated inspiration.

No special attire is required, and all students are welcome to stop by to learn more about internships. As additional incentives for student participation, we will conduct raffles and give away door prizes throughout the event. 

The Lima Campus Coffee and Careers: Mini Intern Fair is coordinated by the Ohio State Lima Office of Career Development and the Rhodes State College Offices of Career Development and Internships & Experiential Learning.
