About this event

STEAM on the Quad will return to The Ohio State University at Lima for its seventh year from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2023. 

STEAM on the Quad is aimed at kids in grades K-8 and built to improve their knowledge and interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Humanities, and Math through hands-on activity. A variety of activities will be hosted by the 4-H programs of Putnam, Hardin, Allen, Hancock, Lucas, Auglaize and Logan counties; the Ohio State Lima departments of education, earth sciences, English and theatre; and a variety of student clubs, community businesses and organizations. For the first time, the Toledo Zoo and COSI will also be on the grounds. 

STEAM on the Quad is free and open to the public. Register online at go.osu.edu/STEAM23. 

STEAM on the Quad is a collaboration between Ohio State Lima and the OSU Extension offices in the surrounding areas. The event is presented with support from Charles River Lab.

JCP Suit-Up Event is a career wear sale hosted on Sunday, September 23, from 3-6pm at the JCPenney Lima Mall location. This event is open to all students, staff and faculty at Ohio State Lima. Shop the latest career wear, shoes, jewelry, handbags, luggage and beyond. Co-hosted by The Ohio State University at Lima, Ohio Northern University and Rhodes State College.

Hog Creek Hardin and ArtSpace/Lima will hold Poetry in the Alley in celebration of Hog Creek Hardin's autumn issue. The event brings together  Lima's poets and creative voices for poetry reading, featured speakers and open mic. 

The event is free and open to the public. Poetry in the Alley will be held in Sugar Alley behind ArtSpace/Lima, 65 Town Square. 

 Hog Creek Hardin is Ohio State Lima's undergraduate literary journal.

The OTDI Enterprise Security Team will be holding a one hour security awareness presentation for the campus on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 12:40- 1:35 p.m. The event will be a hybrid event offering both in person and virtual attendance options and attending this presentation will fulfill your annual requirement for Cybersecurity Awareness training.

The benefits you will receive from joining us for this presentation will be learning how to be a better digital citizen, how to protect student and institutional data, and help prevent ransomware and other attacks on our institutions. You will learn how to keep safe not only in the workplace but in your personal life too. As you have likely seen in the news this year, ransomware attacks can impact anyone.
