Ohio Intern & Co-Op Appreciation Day

About this event

The Ohio Internship and Co-op Appreciation Day celebrates and raises awareness of internship and co-op opportunities in Ohio and helps promote the creation of more internship and co-op programs at businesses throughout the state. This day will help grow the internship culture in addition to strengthening Ohio’s workforce.

Ohio State Lima will recognize this by promoting internship opportunities to students and raffling off prizes. Students will be entered into the drawing by reporting details of their internship to Career Development via e-mail or by logging into the campus job board, Handshake, with Career Development during Intern Appreciation days.

Professional headshots will be offered free of charge for student attendees! Students are encouraged to utilize their professional headshot to enhance their social media presence and exhibit a professional personal brand, all while searching for internships and jobs.

This month-long celebration is designed to raise awareness regarding the benefits of internships and create a culture where students are encouraged to obtain work-related experience while in college. JCP Suit-Up Event is a career-wear sale hosted on Sunday, September 14, from 3-6 p.m. at the JCPenney Lima Mall location, 2400 Elida Road, as part of a university-wide career week for fall 2024. Get up to 45% off on select career wear, shoes, and accessories.

This event is open to all students, staff, and faculty at Ohio State Lima.

Ohio State's annual Career Week is taking place September 14–20, 2024. Students across all majors, campuses, and degree levels are welcome to join for a week of career development and networking.

The week kicks off with an engineering employer education event on the morning of Monday, September 8th at the Ford EEMC building (1155 Bible Road, Lima, Ohio 45804), followed by JCP Suit Up, a storewide sale on career-related items at JCPenney at The Lima Mall from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, September 14.

And don’t miss this year’s Lima Campus Coffee & Careers: In-Person Job & Internship Fair, happening on Tuesday, September 16, from 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the Science building lobby, and Virtual Job & Internship Fair from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. via Zoom.

In addition, all Ohio State students are encouraged to interact with employers at The Ohio State University-wide Fall Career and Internship Fair, happening in-person from 1-5 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, in the Ohio Union on the Columbus campus, and virtually from 2-6 p.m., Thursday, September 18, via Handshake.

Update your resume, prepare to meet some of the nation’s top employers, and show that Buckeyes are always the best for the job!
